Roadside Mamak with HUGE Western Servings @ William's Corner Taman Megah

Because it was Aunt Melinda's birthday yesterday, Kent suggested to try something new. We went all the way to Taman Megah as Kent was bragging about this eatery serving great menus!

So we went and my of my was I surprised! I was so hungry before food was served, but when it finally arrived I almost fainted - my god HUGER-than-HUGE-kinda portion man! I'm usually a VERY big-eater but this time....God, help me finish my food,puh-leeze!LOL! The drinks also come in over-sized mugs!

Ribena Longan (mind you, the longans were almost used from half a can!) @ RM5

Allison's 'Chicken Premium' @ RM15 consisted all-variety chicken - 2 chicken sausages with minced chicken gravy on top, fried chicken , chicken with mint sauce , chicken salami , chicken ham, and in the middle is mashed potato with mushroom sauce!

Aunt Melinda's 'Chicken Chop' with Coleslaw, Mashed Potatoes, Salad and Brown Sauce @ RM15

Kent's 'Chicken Parmesan' with Parmesan (like duh!), Mashed Potatoes, Salad, and Pickles @ RM15

Tiffany's 'Fried Tomyam Rice with Soft-Shelled Crabs' @RM25

For those of you wanting to experience Western Mamak by the roadside, this can be your first! It is located at Taman Megah (close vicinity by the old Lim Kok Wing's Institute). You won't find it hard to spot the place because it is VERY visible for the noticing.

Ups: Reasonable pricing / Those with big 'tangki', this is your food-heaven / Really efficient service in terms of orders to arrive your table.

Downs: How would you fancy eating 'high-style' in the 'unhigh-class' ambience (tepi jalan/longkang/ruined-attap walkways/jalan yang berlopaks)? HEHE. Also, the generosity of food quantity in your plate can be 'just too much' that you might take about an extra 30-60 minutes extra to finish up.

My verdict: It's alrite.....I took about 1 hour 10 mins to habis my meal, that's a new record for myself as I'm always the one finishing up food served to me, in like a dash! I dunno if my 3x visit to the toilet yesterday in between my sleep was a result from having my dinner there anyway??? I'm feeling better now after putting on some minyak angin on my tummy:)

Death is not Death if you can see Life...

Shots from the movie

Picture from a real event about to take place

'The Coffin' is based on a true and controversial Thai ritual that is believed to cast away bad luck and preserving one's life - Referred to in Thailand as "Non Loeng Sadorcro" which literally means Lie in Coffin. It was shot in six provinces across Thailand on actual locations including a 100-year-old temple, real cemeteries, inside active crematorium chambers and an ancient meditation cave. It's a tale of karma-life-and-death. Be ready to be spooked!

Now, would you dare to get into the coffin? I may be a fan of horror, but I don't think I am about to get into a coffin, well...not just yet - as long as I'm still eyes-wide opened with my soul still intact:P

What's Cooking?

Spicy Steamed Talapia With Fermented Soy Bean Paste

Marmite Chicken

Curry Chicken

I took off dad's tube yesterday and started feeding him porridge today. So I steamed him fish to go along with it; besides having to cook something for home as well. Mum didn't cook today.

He's a Gem!

I'm rooting for this young kiddo,12 years old Shaheen Jafargholi, in this year's Britain's Got Talent. He is possibly, the only contestant to give 47 year's old virgin, Susan Boyle, a run for her fame in the show! This boy really is a TALENT.Go Shaheen!

P.S: Oh Blardy! All the HQ YouTube links of the performance have been embed-disabled. To check him out, just search for his name---the young budding star has his name all over the net by now:)

Ally Hearts This!

Likey like! When we first initiated contact, we used chat on MSNs, then we went on to communicating with telephone calls (that was really costing alot of kachings! so silly, yeah we finally realised that, haha), later on we got a little more 'clever' we begin to use the free calls fascilities via MSN and skype......Ok, so now we can hear each others voices for free but still something is missing --- we can't see the other person yet! Therefore, I decided to 'complete the package' of our communication. I happily got myself a webcam! Like so brilliant, rite? I noe! Started installing.....halfway through the process I found out that I just got my hopes crushed when it says my computer is running on some outdated version;not compatible with the webcam's requirement of software!Duh, silly me!So geram - luckily DK's comp is running a compatible version for the webcam. Finally I got this BRAINY idea to send him the webcam via post instead.

It reached, so now yay, DK's on webcam! As for me, haha we'll just wait 'n' see la.

I get to see him acting silly.....

AND......

I managed to capture him sleeping! This is f.u.n, man...!LOL

I love technology (sometimes!).....

Today mum's resumed back to work after a long hiatus taking care of dad. She did not have the time to cook today cos she didn't have enough sleep cos some sick man kept her awake thru out last nite. Therefore, she used her cooking time to sleep a little more instead.

She went to work right after, leaving me to cook at home today.

Here are few pictures of me throughout my hair style-changing-phase.

I held so many kinda haircuts for myself since my secondary years, after i got rid of my very long hair. It just went shorter and shorter as the year passed. Cos i actually liked the feeling it gives me when i sport a short do. A little spending on some gel, yes...(to spike up your hair or something, u see), but don't you think the shorter the hair, the more you ACTUALLY save? Less worry on how your hair is to look like on this and that days, less shampoo, less conditioner, less hair coloring, less hair accessories to buy, and less hair treatment to worry on too!Lol. Seriously, you think about it.

For me, at this point, I just came to my usual hair-dilemma of being 'not short, not long' scenario - and i hate it. My hair is fine that it so unmanageable sometimes til it gets 'all over the place' - be it whether i tied it up, or let it go!

I need opinions here. I wanna know what you guys think? Me in long or short hair, eh?

Let's Have Dad's Kopitiam!

To Tiff, Sorry. Haha.
Next time, it won't happen again:P

Here goes the rest!!

To diet or not to diet? (this is like the gazillionth attempt man!) - u can do it, Ally, yes u can!LOL

After dinner, bumped across this dude working at the next door restaurant. I thought he'd make a great cafe singer. He had such soothing voice and most of all he was very at ease singing out to the crowd. He sure seems to be happy doing what he was doing and I'm quite certain he knew i was getting him on video, tee-hee. (He must be thinking to himself, "Great this nosy reporter is about to get me famous somewhere with this.") This guy is talented, judge him your self - watch this video:
