16. Clean brass, copper and pewter with paste made of salt and vinegar, thickened with flour.

17. Add a little salt to the water your cut flowers will stand in for a longer life.

20. Adding a little salt to the water when cooking foods in a double boiler will make the food cook faster.

21. Use a mixture of salt and lemon juice to clean piano keys.

22. To fill plaster holes in your walls, use equal parts of salt and starch, with just enough water to make a stiff putty.

23. Rinse a sore eye with a little salt water.

24. Mildly salted water makes an effective mouthwash. Use it hot for a sore throat gargle.

25. Dry salt sprinkled on your toothbrush makes a good tooth polisher.

26. Use salt for killing weeds in your lawn.

27. Eliminate excess suds with a sprinkle of salt.

28. A dash of salt in warm milk makes a more relaxing beverage.

29. Before using new glasses, soak them in warm salty water for awhile.

30. A dash of salt enhances the taste of tea.

31. Salt improves the taste of cooking apples.

32. Soak your clothes line in salt water to prevent your clothes from freezing to the line; likewise, use salt in your final rinse to prevent the clothes from freezing.

33. Rub any wicker furniture you may have with salt water to prevent yellowing.

34. Freshen sponges by soaking them in salt water.

35. Add raw potatoes to stews and soups that are too salty.

36. Soak enamel pans in salt water overnight and boil salt water in them next day to remove burned-on stains.

37. Clean your greens in salt water for easier removal of dirt.

38. Gelatin sets more quickly when a dash of salt is added.

39. Fruits put in mildly salted water after peeling will not discolour.

50. Boil mismatched hose in salty water and they will come out matched.

51. Salt and soda will sweeten the odor of your refrigerator.

52. Cover wine-stained fabric with salt; rinse in cool water later.

53. Remove offensive odors from stove with salt and cinnamon.

54. A pinch of salt improves the flavor of cocoa.

55. To remove grease stains in clothing, mix one part salt to four parts rubbing alcohol.

56. Salt and lemon juice removes mildew.

57. Sprinkle salt between sidewalk bricks where you don’t want grass growing.

58. Polish your old kerosene lamp with salt for a brighter look.

59. Remove odors from sink drainpipes with a strong, hot solution of salt water.

60. If a pie bubbles over in your oven, put a handful of salt on top of the spilled juice. The mess won’t smell and will bake into a dry, light crust which will wipe off easily when the oven has cooled.

I CAN'T CHOOSE - I LIKE 'EM ALL!!!

Angin menderu...Dahan jatuh...

Aku rindu seseorang semalam. Entah dia juga begitu tak. Kalau rindu, tolong angguk-angguk-geleng-geleng.

Breezy Sunday...

It was nice that I had a good chilling Sunday this week. Got on to some girlie-bonding session with my girl, Marilyn and one very sweet 'abalone' *giggles*

Marilyn had some time off from work(thank god and lucky me, hehe) and I FINALLY caught up with Evelyn, DK's buddy who also happens to be working as a nurse in... yes, Melbourne - she is back to Malaysia (Gadis Tepi Sungai lagi tau!LOLOLOL!) for a month until June 13th (that's like 5 days before my trip over to Melbourne to be in the arms of the love of my life okay!!! *chirpy chirpy chirp chirp*

She has been telling me how much she has been craving for Keropok Lekor so I actually managed to get some from the market at Pandamaran today. I had some cooked for her and boy oh boy, Evelyn definitely enjoyed having it that she couldn't be bothered...she went for a second batch! Haha careful girl ...watch the figure now, hehe!

After lekor, we caught up to watching a movie (Money No Enough II) in my room. Laughed like no one's business all us three though I already seen this movie like twice before them. Want to pecah peruts, I tell u! LOL Movie ended about 10pm and headed to the next agenda after sending Marilyn home ....

CENDOL!!!!

Sip, sip, nice, nice...
(Blardy lights so blinding at the back man! Total ish-ness!)

"Oh, don't snap my pic now - I'm not looking pretty now"

She had Cendol at my usual favorite Cendol shop - Warisan Asli in Bukit Tinggi. She was in heaven from the moment she took the first sip! I can tell you she loved it. Only complain was, 'Not enough kacang la...'

As for me, I had Teh-O-Laici with ice, my first time and sigh, I don't think it's alot to talk about it or what la because it seems like they forgot to masuk syrup (sugar) into it - I felt like i was only drinking Sky Juice la ok? Haha. So without much fuss, I just walked to the bar and tell them, "Sirap and lagi sikit ais, please?" Granted, I went back happy to my seat but then forgotten to snap a picture of my drink - lucky it's only Teh-O-Laici Ais, hehe.

Oh I finally have my 'pretty normal' eyes back!!! Yay!

A quick one anyway. I wonder if this is enough/too much for my one month stay in Melbourne during Winter in June. Evelyn said this luggage is looking about 15kgs or so (very confidently indeed), what do you reckon? As long as I don't exceed 20kgs, I'm fine and am REALLY tempted to add more and more stuffs cause I really don't wanna run short of clothes/things I ought to bring but I just didn't only because I THOUGHT I'm carrying an overweight load with me! How accurate is a weighing scale anyway I wonder??? It's about close to only three weeks left and here I am still wondering away... Oh my goodiness, lol

Calamity-loaded week!

One after another - what is wrong with me???! This whole week was just NG for me, for sure. I woke up to this, very painful-looking sight. Had I got bitten by something while I was sleeping??? I checked ... but really, there was nothing! I feel so sick la. Trust me, it was VERY uncomfortable the whole day for me today.

Ouch!

If yesterday was mosquito bites, today I'm bruised - on my finger! Too eagerly wanting to shuf the blardy gas tank into its usual corner, I went hitting my finger accidentally onto the concrete wall there! What blardy arse luck man! Sob sob.

Such ugly finger I have now. URGH!!!

My new enemy is M!

My blood must be sweeter than ever before - otherwise how to explain all this??? Probably also due to the fact that nowadays... I always open my room door wide in the day to see to my dad on and off while I am keeping myself occupied doing my own things at home, yeah maybe. I took a nap awhile ago and to my horror!!! MOSQUITO BITES! My pitiful legs!!

I never got bitten this MUCH in a single day, it's got me red all over! As I am posting this now, I got a swell on my left eye too! (snaps a pic for proof!) I already sprayed aerosol like so kao kao just awhile ago and I hope to have a good nite tonight and a great day tomorrow - away from those lil' blood-suckers!

On an unrelated topic, here's today's home-menu:)

Public Service Announcement @ allypereira.blogspot.com

As we have all know by now, the flu finally landed in Malaysia. With this, I pledge to do my part as a concerned citizen of the world and Malaysia, especially.

"All passengers on Malaysia Airlines flight MH091 from Newark, United States to Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Wednesday (May 13), are advised to contact the Health Ministry at 03-88810200 or 03-88810300 for follow-up action."
(Regardless whether or not you noticed any fever, sore throat and body aches before-hand)

Let's all play a part to curb it while we can. After all, it's for your own good as well!

Dr.Paulie goes with Ally to MidValley - what a night!!!

My virginal tattoo done March 16 2005

This done on March 16 2006

Had a good night out today. Laughed so much- it's something that I missed doing a little lately. Went to MidValley with intention to tattoo!Yes, Paul wanna do his 'virgin' tattoo and also 'modify' his last year's birthday gift to me (yes, that very tiny tattoo on my leg) - we intend to 'elaborate' what I have currently to something that looks no longer as if I went and got myself hit on something/somewhere - and I so not likey it now, lol. I have currently 3 tattoos and this is the least to my likings though it's only been with me for a year - so ugly can die! Must 'repair'! So I'm ecstatic at the whole idea as my birthday gift from Paul yet again - a tattoo , not new but 're-worked'. Jadilah!

My sad-looking tattoo done on May 15th 2008

Unfortunately, attempt failed again today - cos we arrived pretty friggin' late to get ourselves tattoo. It was already almost 9pm. Looks like must make an appointment during next visit. So yeah, we are planning to go and get it done first week of June when Paul gets a week off from being 'Doctor' - getting a tattoo done for him that time is purrfect so that he'll have enough time recovering from the whole process of doing his tatt. It's a wonder why his plan to tatoo always got 'technical problems' one - since last year alot of 'halangans'!I'm hoping this year he gets a taste of being tattooed anyway...hehe.

We went for dinner at Madam Kwan's (yummy yummy!) and later headed to watch 'the Uninvited'.

Sweet & Sour Fish

Madam Kwan's Specialty Curry Chicken

Assam Sotong

My always-favorite STANDARD drink ->> Ice Lemon Tea

Paul (Sometimes the Doctor, haha)
Sometimes the cheeky one....

Sometimes the (fill in the blanks) one...Hehe!

Kesian Paul (funny oso got! *Sorry la,Paul... it's hilarious I can't help it!)....He's got a date later around noon and he's so loooking forward to it, he went to buy himself a very nice t-shirt and a new pair of seluar dalam (pictures clearly show how semangat is he kan? *grins*).....but guess what? Poor doctor Paul left it at the cinema! We only realized it after driving halfway at Subang! He so wanted to go back to the cinema to get it, but the clock's already pointing 120am, crazy or what?! As if the cinema waits for him to go get his forgetten baju meh? Some lucky cleaner must be trying on the shirt at this very moment la, tuff luck to get it back wan la! Plus, he's gotta check-in for work at the hospital at 745am and is to leave at 630am latest from home to HKL-he must sleep otherwise lose focus at work sure tai wok one! Nvm...for everything that's happened I'm sure it's for a reason. But I only can think of one : We are both GOLDFISH, lol, AND thank goodness because his sleepiness was getting the better of him, he couldn't be much bothered about his forgotten goodies already, afterall. All he cares is....to go home!

Still, I hope his date goes smooth later today with his lady lurve:)
